Recently, at the Caohu Airport in Faku, Shenyang, China’s first twin-seat electric helicopter, the RX1H, successfully completed its maiden flight. This test flight demonstrates that China has reached an internationally advanced level in the integrated design of electric helicopters and their electric propulsion systems, filling a gap in this field domestically. The RX1H was developed under the leadership of Professor Yang Fengtian, Chief Scientist of the Liaoning General Aviation Research Institute and Chief Expert of the Shenyang Aircraft Design and Research Institute of AVIC.
