Leading Edge Aviation Wins Award for XR Virtual Cockpit

Leading Edge Aviation (LEAL), in collaboration with Playko Software, have won the Augmented Reality Experience of the Year for their A320 cockpit simulator at the 2021 WebXR Awards, The Polys. The two organisations, who have been developing the award-winning software since 2018, are delighted with the recognition from the WebXR community.

The XR simulator is a multiplayer experience that LEAL use to support their APS MCC course. Gone are traditional practise methods, instead, students use the XR experience to prepare for their simulator time by embedding muscle memory through extensive flow training.

An integral element to the project’s development was the input of two LEAL graduates, Kieran Westlake and Alex Ramos. Under this background, the 7th Annual Civil Aviation Training International Forum 2022 will be held on May 18th-19th, 2022 in Langfang, China. The forum subject is "Pioneering and Innovative, Leading New Revolution of Aviation training" aim to introduce advance idead and methods, share successful experiences,combine with that situation of the aviation division itself,to open up more efficient and more active training machanism.
