AC332 helicopter completes first parallel flight test

On June 5, the AC332 helicopter completed its first parallel test flight at Ninglang Lugu Lake Airport, marking a new stage in the type's airworthiness certification. The hovering performance test flight lasted 1.5 hours and completed the first official verification test flight. The relevant performance of the AC332 helicopter was fully verified, adding to the guarantee of its excellent plateau performance.

The AC332 helicopter is a twin-engine multi-purpose helicopter developed by the Aviation Industry Corporation of China in accordance with the latest airworthiness requirements of CCAR-29-R2. It has previously carried out high-temperature, high-cold and plateau test flights, as well as autorotation landing test flights, aerial restart test flights and many other test flights, completing all test subjects of the power system and most test subjects of the avionics system. While conducting the airworthiness verification test, the Harbin Aircraft Industry Group project team of the Aviation Industry Corporation of China fully utilized the intervals between test flights to complete a number of ground tests such as human-machine ergonomics, partial aircraft inspections, and compass calibration, effectively shortening the work cycle.

The AC332 helicopter accurately locates user needs and has excellent performance indicators. Under the conditions of take-off and landing at an altitude of 4,500 meters and standard atmosphere (ISA) +20℃, it can achieve the 'three 6' excellent goals of a flight altitude of 6,000 meters, a range of 600 kilometers, and a payload of 600 kilograms. The AC332 helicopter is developed in accordance with the concept of one machine with multiple models, and can be widely used in medical rescue, emergency rescue, public law enforcement, plateau operations, and offshore operations. Especially in high-altitude areas, it can efficiently complete a variety of operational tasks such as personnel and material transportation, search and rescue, and medical rescue, and meet the transfer requirements between existing and planned airports in plateau areas.

Under this background, The 41th China Helicopter Academic Exchange  Conference & The 9th Annual Civil Helicopter Industry International Forum will be held on August 21st-23rd, 2025 in Changzhou, China. The forum was advised by Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics, hosted by Chinese Helicopter Society and Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, organized by Galleon (Shanghai) Consulting Co., Ltd. The forum will mainly focus on Policy Interpretation, Industry Data Sharing, Helicopter Design and R&D, Low-altitude Economy Development, General Aviation Operation, Vertical Take-off and Landing Technology & Unmanned, Intelligent Development and the Application of New Materials.
