Amid unprecedented shifts in the global landscape, China's civil aviation sector faces the critical challenge of effectively managing aircraft asset value, enhancing operational efficiency, and reducing operating costs within intensifying market competition and evolving aviation demands. As a pivotal component of the aviation industrial chain, aircraft asset value management encompasses the entire life cycle of aircraft – from model selection and acquisition through operation, maintenance, and eventual retirement.
Close collaboration among upstream and downstream industry players has become particularly essential. Airlines, aircraft manufacturers, maintenance-repair-overhaul (MRO) enterprises, and component suppliers must strengthen communication and coordination to jointly advance the standardization, regulation, and intelligentization of aircraft value management. This can be achieved through measures including establishing information-sharing platforms, conducting joint R&D initiatives, and enhancing talent development – all aimed at fostering deeper integration and synergistic growth across the industrial chain.
Only through concerted efforts to build a comprehensive commercial aircraft value management ecosystem can China's aviation industry achieve sustainable development.
To address the following challenges, the 4th Aircraft Value Management International Forum is scheduled to be held in China, on February 2026
The forum will invite experts from the State Taxation Administration of China, financial departments of major airlines, aircraft value assessment agencies etc., to discuss hot topics in the industry including aircraft value trends, fleet management, introduction of second-hand aircraft, disposal of old aircraft, aviation financial leasing, and aircraft residual value protection.
