Chengdu: Accelerating the Development of a National Key Industry Base for Large Aircraft

Recently, the Chengdu Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Chengdu Municipal People's Government issued the "Opinions on Accelerating the Construction of a National Advanced Manufacturing Hub," which proposes to enhance the security and resilience of industrial chains. The plan includes participating in high-quality development actions for national key manufacturing industry chains and completing landmark product research tasks. It also calls for actively aligning with the national strategic layout of major productive forces and the new industrial layout of the eastern coastal regions, advancing the construction of key industrial projects, and accelerating the development of a national key industry base for large aircraft, among other initiatives. Furthermore, efforts will be strengthened in risk warning and prevention for key industries, addressing weaknesses in core components, critical materials, and industrial software, thereby improving the integrity and resilience of industrial and supply chains.
