China's First B777-300ER Passenger-to-Freighter Conversion Aircraft Delivered

On June 8, 2026, the handover ceremony for China's first Boeing B777-300ER passenger-to-freighter conversion aircraft was held in Beijing. Representatives from four parties — China Aviation Supplies Holding Company (CAS), Boeing China, CDB Leasing, and Fly Meta — jointly attended the event, witnessing this important milestone.

The B777-300ER aircraft delivered will subsequently be sent to the IAI conversion center in South Korea for passenger-to-freighter modification. This type of conversion is the first of its kind in China, and the aircraft also serves as the first prototype to be handled by IAI's conversion line in South Korea. This marks a critical step forward for CAS in the full-lifecycle management of wide-body aircraft and high-value asset disposition.

CAS played a central bridging role in this project, leveraging its global resource network to efficiently facilitate the cross-border movement and allocation of the aircraft asset. This collaboration not only demonstrates CAS's professional strength in aircraft trading and the passenger-to-freighter conversion industrial chain but also achieves deep multinational coordination by integrating resources from the aircraft manufacturer, internationally renowned conversion provider, and end operator.

In the future, CAS will continue to focus on its core responsibilities, optimizing the recycling efficiency of aviation assets to help upgrade China's air cargo supply system, and contributing its "CAS solution" to the development of a leading transportation and aviation powerhouse.
