AECC Control System Institute Delivers “Six-in-One” Fully Integrated Aviation Electric Motor to TCab Tech

On June 5, the AECC Control System Institute (hereinafter referred to as “AECC Control”) held a delivery ceremony for the AEE25 aviation electric motor in Wuxi.

The AEE25 aviation motor delivered this time is China’s first “six-in-one” fully integrated aviation electric motor, setting a domestic record for the highest torque density among 200 kW-class aviation electric motors. This marks a major breakthrough in key technologies for China’s aviation electric motors, with performance reaching internationally advanced levels. The realization of this achievement not only effectively breaks through relevant technical bottlenecks but also further validates the R&D innovation and engineering capabilities of both TCab Tech and AECC Control, representing significant progress on the path toward “independent and controllable, high-end development” of the core supply chain for the low‑altitude economy.

The E20 eVTOL is a five‑seat manned tilt‑rotor electric vertical take‑off and landing aircraft independently developed by TCab Tech. It features technical advantages such as vertical take‑off and landing, high‑speed cruise, high safety and reliability, low noise, and low operating costs. The electric motor serves as the power core of the eVTOL, responsible for efficiently converting battery electrical energy into rotor lift. Unlike industrial or automotive motors, aviation‑grade motors face three stringent challenges: high torque and high power density – delivering sufficient power within limited weight and volume; safety redundancy – maintaining aircraft attitude and lift under single‑fault conditions to ensure safe landing; and environmental adaptability – reliable operation under complex conditions such as temperature cycling, humidity, low air pressure, salt spray, vibration, and shock.
