COMAC, China Mobile, China Eastern, and ZTE Sign Four-Party 5G-ATG Cooperation Agreement

On July 17, China Mobile Communications Group Co., Ltd., China Eastern Air Holdings Co., Ltd., Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, Ltd. (COMAC), and ZTE Corporation held a signing ceremony in Shanghai for a four-party 5G-ATG cooperation agreement.

The four parties will accelerate the deep integration of advanced manufacturing and modern services. Leveraging the driving force of China's 5G industry and guided by the development philosophy of "complementary advantages, collaborative innovation, and mutual benefit," they will integrate their respective top-tier industry resources, core technologies, and industrial platform capabilities. The collaboration aims to jointly promote the deep integration of passenger air travel with 5G-ATG communication technology, intelligent computing power technology, and large-model AI technology, thereby tangibly enhancing the travel experience and satisfaction of air passengers.

In the next phase, under the guidance of relevant authorities, the four parties will accelerate the transformation of aviation internet from "connectivity onboard" to a new stage characterized by "higher-speed networks, more accessible services, smarter operations, and greater industrial self-reliance".
