World's Largest eVTOL Fuselage Rolls Off Production Line, Low-Altitude Logistics Enters the "Heavy-Lift" Era
Recently, MUYUSKY AVIATION's "Airtruck" AT8000 completed its full fuselage rollout. With a maximum takeoff weight of 8,000 kg, this aircraft is currently the world's largest known eVTOL.
Since the start of 2026, eVTOL payload records have been broken in rapid succession: in February, AutoFlight's 5-tonne-class eVTOL completed its transition flight; in July, MUYUSKY AVIATION's 8-tonne-class eVTOL fuselage rolled off the production line.
MUYUSKY AVIATION stated that the difficulty of aircraft R&D and manufacturing scales exponentially with takeoff weight. Developing large-scale aircraft demands a high level of theoretical expertise and engineering experience—therefore, the ability to build small aircraft does not necessarily translate to the ability to build large ones.
With the leapfrog advancement in eVTOL payload capacity, low-altitude cargo transport is accelerating toward commercialization.
