Shenzhen Airport Group and The Second Research Institute of CAAC Jointly Establish Smart Airport Joint Laboratory

To thoroughly implement the national strategic deployment for deepening the integration of technological innovation and industrial innovation, and to develop new quality productive forces in civil aviation tailored to local conditions, Shenzhen Airport Group and the Second Research Institute of the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) have jointly established a Smart Airport Joint Laboratory. The unveiling ceremony was held in Shenzhen on August 6, 2026.

The successful inauguration of the Smart Airport Joint Laboratory marks a new phase in the strategic cooperation between the two parties, characterized by technology-driven innovation and the laboratory serving as the primary vehicle. Both parties expressed their commitment to establishing an efficient and collaborative working mechanism, accelerating the development and operation of the joint laboratory, and jointly exploring new pathways for deep integration of industry, academia, research, and application. This initiative aims to inject new momentum into the self-reliance and self-strengthening of civil aviation technology and the high-quality development of the industry, while jointly advancing technological innovation and industrial progress in the civil aviation sector.
