Background
Currently, the global aviation industry is undergoing rapid restructuring, and China's aero-engine industry is at a critical stage of independent innovation and upgrading. Along with the large-scale and market-oriented growth of China's low-altitude economy, the booming development of low-altitude vehicles, general aviation, and unmanned aerial vehicles has created strong demand for small and medium aero-engines, driving the accelerated R&D and engineering application of turboshaft, turboprop, turbofan, and hybrid power systems. Domestic small and medium aero-engines have made phased breakthroughs in aerodynamic design, hot-end components, and reliability improvement, with continuously enhanced industrial chain collaboration. Based on the national strategic arrangement for high-end equipment and strategic emerging industries in the 15th Five-Year Plan, aero-propulsion technology, as the core cornerstone supporting the low-altitude economy and ensuring industrial chain security, urgently needs an efficient and collaborative exchange platform. Therefore, the 14th Annual China Aerospace Propulsion Technology Forum 2026 is held to focus on advanced design, digital twin, precision manufacturing, special processes, metrology, testing and intelligent O&M. The forum gathers strengths from industry, universities, and research institutes to tackle technical bottlenecks, promote domestic substitution, and boost the high-quality development of China's aerospace propulsion technology.
