Background
In recent years, China's smart airport construction has advanced rapidly. Full-process paperless travel, biometric identification, intelligent security inspection and digital twins have been deployed on a large scale. The smart capabilities of 10-million-level airports have improved significantly, with continuously enhanced passenger experience and operational efficiency, forming a batch of reproducible best practices. In line with the 15th Five-Year Civil Aviation Development Plan, the industry is accelerating the building of a modern civil aviation system that is safe, efficient, green, intelligent and open, promoting the collaborative development of world-class airport clusters and launching three major smart civil aviation projects, providing clear policy guidance for digital transformation of airports. Challenges remain, including inconsistent standards, insufficient data interoperability, weak links among planning, construction and operation, inadequate integration of green low-carbon and intelligent technologies, and shortage of key technologies and interdisciplinary talents, calling for strengthened top-level coordination and international exchanges. Driven by artificial intelligence and green and low-carbon transition, together with new trends of front-loaded planning, whole-life-cycle management, unified digital infrastructure and integration of smart cargo with low-altitude economy, smart airports embrace a new round of innovative opportunities. Based on industrial practices and policy guidelines, this conference focuses on whole-life-cycle smart development, AI empowerment and green low-carbon transition. It aims to build an international exchange platform to advance technical paths, promote standardization and share experience, so as to support the high-quality development of China's civil aviation.
