Airbus Delivers More Than 630 China-Assembled A320 Family Aircraft over 15 Years
Airbushasdeliveredmorethan630A320familyaircraftassembledatitsFinalAssemblyLineAsia(FALA)inNorthChina'sTianjinmunicipalityoverthepast15years,accordingtotheEuropeanaircraftmanufacturer. Thisfinalassemblyline,inauguratedinSeptember2008,isAirbus'firstfinalassemblylinelocatedoutsideofEurope. InNovember2021,AirbusrevealeditsplanstoexpandthecapabilitiesofFALAinTianjintoaccommodateA321production,respondingtorisingmarketdemandfortheaircrafttype.InMarch2023,AirbusdeliveredthefirstA321neoaircraftassembledatFALAinTianjintoChina'sJuneyaoAir. InApril,AirbusenteredintoanagreementwithitsChinesepartnerstoenhancethefinalassemblycapacityforitsA320familyaircraftwiththeadditionofasecondfinalassemblylineplannedatthesamesite. ThesecondfinalassemblylinewillhavethecapacityforbothA320andA321productionandisexpectedtobeoperationalbytheendof2025.Bythen,Airbuswillhave10A320familyaircraftfinalassemblylinesworldwide,includingtwoinTianjin,accordingtoAirbus. HesaidtheC919has156-192seatswithaflyingdistanceof5,550kilometers,andtheaircraftwillbeupgradedtooffer130-240seats,localnewsoutletShanghaiObserverreportedonSunday. EASA Proposal Completes Regulatory Framework For eVTOL Operations
Europe’ssafetyregulatorhassubmittedproposalsforrulesgoverningsafeoperationoffutureverticaltake-offaircraft,includingairtaxis,whichwillcompletetheregulatoryframeworkallowingsuchservicestobegin. TheEuropeanUnionAviationSafetyAgencyhaspublishedaformalopinionintroducingasetofoperationalrequirementsforpilotedelectricairtaxis–coveringsuchmattersascrewlicensing,airrules,andairtrafficmanagement. EASAsaystheopinionisbeingsubmittedtotheEuropeanCommission.Onceadopted,itwillcomplementcurrentEuropeanUnionregulationsandguidanceforunmannedaircraftoperations,aswellasthoseforvertiportdesign,certificationofVTOL-capableaircraft. “ThisisthelastpieceofregulationrequiredtoenablethelaunchofVTOLandairtaxiservicesforinnovativeairmobility,”saysoutgoingEASAexecutivedirectorPatrickKy. Airline to Use 3Rd C919 For New Flights

SINGAPORE—SafranAircraftEnginessaysitwilldoubleLeapenginebladeproductioninChinaasitofficiallyopensanewfactoryatitsGuiyangfacility.
